A holiday in Goa

It started the way many good ideas do, on a holiday. We had left Delhi behind for a few days in Goa: the deadlines, the traffic, the feeling of always being switched on.

By the second morning, something had changed. We were barefoot, walking to breakfast in loose linen, with salt in our hair and nowhere to be. We felt light. We felt like ourselves.

We assumed it was the place, the sea, the slow afternoons, the sky. But on the way home we began to wonder. What if it was not only Goa? What if a large part of that freedom came from what we were wearing? Cloth that breathed. Cuts that never pinched or pulled. Nothing stiff, nothing that asked us to sit up straight.

Freedom, we realised, is something you can wear.

Back in Delhi, the city had not changed, but we had. In the same traffic and the same long meetings, a soft linen shirt still felt like that first morning by the sea. Shoulders dropped. The day felt a little more like our own.

That is why we make clothes that feel like a vacation. Not for a few days a year, but for every day, in any city, however busy it is. You do not have to leave to feel free.

The people

A shared point of view

Jamies was founded by Shashi and Aayush with a simple conviction: clothes should feel as good as they look, and last longer than a single season. Shashi designed the first collections, drawn to flowing lines, restraint and the quiet beauty of natural cloth. Aayush built the label around that sensibility.

Shashi passed away in 2021. Her eye for restraint remains the standard every Jamies piece is held to, and Aayush leads the label today with the same belief: luxury is something you feel more than you show.
